Hello and welcome back to Lost in Hyd — a weekly newsletter where I share the best things happening around Hyderabad that genuinely feel worth stepping out for.
Every week, I tell myself I’m going to stay home, save money, and have a quiet weekend.
And then Hyderabad casually drops a Bollywood DJ night, a paint workshop, live music scenes, aesthetic cafés, and somehow convinces me to make plans again.
So if you’ve been wondering what to do around the city this week, here are a few things I’d personally recommend checking out.
A Proper Bollywood Night Out
I don’t know what it is about Bollywood nights, but they somehow turn even the most tired people into dancers after 10 PM.
DJ Prince is performing this week, and honestly, this feels like one of those plans where you go thinking you’ll “just chill” and suddenly end up screaming lyrics with strangers by midnight.
If your week has been stressful and you just want loud music, familiar songs, and chaotic fun with friends, this is probably the move.
Also, Hyderabad crowds during Bollywood nights are either extremely shy or fully committed. There’s no in-between.
The Ramoji Studio Tour Still Feels Magical
I genuinely think people in Hyderabad underestimate how fun the Ramoji Studio Tour actually is.
Most of us visited once as kids and never went back, but revisiting it as an adult feels weirdly nostalgic. The film sets, the studio streets, the dramatic architecture, and the whole “behind the scenes of cinema” atmosphere still make it feel like an experience instead of just another outing.
If you have cousins visiting, family in town, or simply want a full-day plan that feels different from malls and cafés, this is honestly worth considering again.
And somehow, every trip to Ramoji ends with at least one person saying:
“Wait… this place is actually huge.”
Live Music at The Rabbit Hole
There’s something about live music nights in Hyderabad lately that feels more intimate than before.
The Jammers performing live at The Rabbit Hole sounds like the kind of evening that starts casually and ends with everyone staying longer than planned. Good music, dim lighting, conversations getting louder as the night progresses — it’s one of those simple plans that usually become the most memorable.
Personally, I think Hyderabad needs more live music culture, and places like this are making that happen slowly.
Perfect if you’re tired of overly loud club scenes and want something a little more relaxed.
Paint Like Picasso
I’ve recently realized that “creative workshops” are becoming Hyderabad’s version of therapy.
And honestly? I get it. The Paint Like Picasso event this week feels like the perfect reset plan if your brain has been overloaded with work, deadlines, and screens. You don’t even need to be good at painting. Half the fun is just sitting there, trying something new, and pretending you’re artistic for two hours.
These workshops also somehow make conversations flow more naturally, which is why they work surprisingly well for friend outings and casual dates.
HYBE India Pop-Up Park
If you’re into K-pop, Korean culture, or honestly just enjoy high-energy fan experiences, the HYBE India Pop-Up Park in Hyderabad looks like it’s going to pull huge crowds this week.
And even if you’re not deeply into the fandom side of things, events like this are fun simply because of the atmosphere. There’s music, themed experiences, merch, fan energy, and the kind of excitement that makes the entire event feel alive.
Hyderabad’s event scene has become surprisingly diverse lately, and this is probably one of the clearest examples of that.
Café Recommendation This Week
If you’re someone who constantly saves café reels and then never actually visits the places, let this week be different.
Brews and Blends has been on my radar recently, and it genuinely feels like one of those cafés that understands atmosphere properly. The kind where you can sit for hours without feeling rushed.
It has that cozy “slow afternoon” vibe that works equally well for:
coffee dates
solo work sessions
catching up with friends
romanticizing your life for no reason
And honestly, every city needs cafés like that.
Sometimes the best plans are simply good coffee and unhurried conversations.
Final Thoughts
This week’s Hyderabad lineup feels very balanced in the best way possible.
You can go full chaotic Bollywood night mode, spend an evening painting, revisit childhood nostalgia at Ramoji, listen to live music, or just disappear into a café for a few hours.
And honestly, that’s probably my favorite thing about Hyderabad lately — there’s always something happening, but the city never feels like it’s trying too hard.
So if you’ve been postponing plans again, maybe this is your sign to finally step out.
See you around the city.
